Inspired by a beautiful bunch of sunflowers my partner bought for me.

When I woke up this morning the weather was very rainy and dull, but the sunflowers brightened up the day and I wanted to capture that feeling in a painting. The black background represents the dull weather, while the sunflower, standing out, represents the sunshine.

This one is a mini canvas and is 5x7 inch approximately in size. It is an ideal size to put in a box frame or to rest on a side shelf. There is a lot of beautiful gold tones in this one that have a metallic effect, which really stand out when the light hits the painting.
