The idea around this painting is to show that, as children the world seems so much more fun and exciting. As we age, the world doesn’t seem like that anymore. I suppose it is about not letting yourself grow up completely and still having a childish mind deep down.

Remember being a child and loving the rain! It was the best thing ever going out and dancing in it, playing games or watching it from a window and admiring how the raindrops made funny shapes. Now as an adult the rain makes us miserable and we often don’t see any fun in it anymore. I guess it is all about perspective.
